Wine Description:

Highly fragrant with red and blue fruits, cardamom spice and white pepper. The palate is textured and creamy, showing pomegranate, chocolate and baking spices. Fine, lengthening and savoury tannins with bright, nervy acid underpinning.

The fruit for Hedonist Ecology Shiraz comes from an organic and biodynamic certified vineyard from Kangarilla, a relatively cool site within McLaren Vale.
Naturally fermented after selective harvesting - no crushing and then cold soaked for 2 days. Gently pressed after 12 days on skins with twice daily hand-plunging or pump overs, completed malolactic fermentation and then matured for 9 months in a second use 4,500 litre foudre.

Hedonist wines are made using certified biodynamic and organic vineyards and winemaking practices. The Hedonist vineyard is located in the Willunga foothills of McLaren Vale. The idyllic St Vincent’s Gulf lies 5km to the West. The soil is rich loam over clay with patches of underlying limestone.
