Cognac is a French brandy from the Cognac region. Predominantly made from the Ugni Blanc grape. It is twice distilled in copper pot stills and aged at least two years in French oak barrels.
Armagnac is a French brandy which is made in the Armagnac region in Gascony in France. Typically made with Colombard, Folle blanche and Ugni blanc grapes. It is distiled once with a column still, distilling once results in a more aromatic and flavourfull drink than Cognac with has more subtle flavours.
