Chateau Croix du Trale

Château Croix du Trale is located in the commune of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne in the heart of Haut-Médoc and offers Haut-Médoc and Saint-Estèphe.
Michel, who comes from a family of winegrowers, has been cultivating his vines since he was very young. He passed on his passion to his son Stéphane, who quickly followed in his footsteps and bought his first plots at the age of 18. They both set up an independent winery by creating Château Croix du Trale, a business starting with 6 hectares. In 2010, Sandra joined her husband in the adventure.
Independent Winegrowers of France since 2008, the estate has also been part of the prestigious Cru Bourgeois classification since 2013.
Today, Sandra and Stéphane have passed on their passion to their daughters Laurie and Chloé who joined them on the family estate at the end of their studies. Château Croix du Trale now covers 25 hectares.
On the 25 hectares of the AOC Haut-Médoc and Saint-Estèphe estate, the grape varieties are noble and are divided into 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet-Sauvignon.
Our vines are expressed on different terroirs: clay-limestone soils ideal for the Merlot grape variety, clayey gravel soils appreciated by the Cabernet-Sauvignon grape variety and finally river clay soils.
Our vineyard bordered between the land and the Gironde estuary has a rich diversity of terroir, an asset for the complexity of our wines.
