From a Premier Cru Classe Sauternes property, Chateau Guiraud are developing a reputation for their exceptional organic dry wines. A blend of 50% Sauvignon and 50% Semillon with 80% barrel fermentation and 7 month oak and lees aging.

Tasting Note:

Rich and complex, with fresh apple and citrus fruit character, stoney minerality and smoky oak, with further depth and texture from extended lees ageing.

Chateau Guiraud is a leading 1er Grand Cru Classe Chateau in Sauternes. Famed for it's sweet Sauternes wine but also produces G De Guiraud, a stunning, barrel aged, dry white Bordeaux. Chateau Guiraud are certified organic.

Built on a soil of gravel, sand and clay, surrounded by forests in the heart of the Sauternes wine region and spanning a total area of 128 hectares: Château Guiraud’s unusual topography has always fostered a unique sense of freedom, right from the very start.

Acquired in 1766 by the Guiraud family, who were Protestant and republican merchants in a Catholic, pro-royalty stronghold, the château has always boasted a distinctive presence, with its classic black and gold label, its pioneering commitment to biodiversity and its predilection for sauvignon blanc grapes.
